Simulation of Rapid Vesiculation
Video shot using a digital camera that did not have a microphone, so there is no sound to them. Ben Andrews performs a simulation of rapid vesiculation that takes place during an explosive volcanic eruption at the April 10, 2004 University of Alaska Fairbanks Science Potpourri. The simulation uses liquid nitrogen poured into a hot soapy water solution - produces rapid bubble formation.
